Lampes Berger is a lamp that disperses scented alcohol using a heated stone attached to a cotton wick. The fragrance lamp’s process is started by lighting the stone burner placed at the opening of the lamp. After a few minutes the flame is extinguished by blowing it out. However, the heated burner remains active and diffuses the aromatics throughout the room. The lamp does not operate with an open flame, making it much safer to operate than scented candles. Its lower operating temperature also means that, unlike scented candles, the aromatics are diffused very efficiently into the ambient air without being burned.

Lampes Berger

One of the great things about Lampes Berger is the ease with one can switch fragrances. Going from “Under the Fig tree” in the summer to “Amber Powder” in the winter is a simple matter of switching alcohol. Lampes Berger is also famous for not only replacing unpleasant scents with a perfume, but also neutralizing any disagreeable fragrance, making it a fantastic tool to use after cooking or smoking.
